NORTH AMERICA TIME ZONES

Standard Time Zones in North America span from UTC - 3hours/30 minutes in Newfoundland Canada to UTC - 9 hours in Alaska. If Greenland and Hawaii are included in the description of North American time zones then the time zones span from UTC + 0 in Danmarkshavn Greenland to UTC -10 in Hawaii.

Many but not all places in North America use daylight saving time. Daylight saving time is used in most of Canada, Mexico and the United States. Most areas of Canada and the United States which use daylight saving time have the same start and ending dates and change over at the same time of day. Most of Mexico has a daylight saving time schedule which is different than the United States and Canada, however, numerous northern municipalities change in sequence with the US.

Other places in North America which use daylight saving time are the Bahamas, Bermuda, Cuba, Haiti, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
