Argentina Standard Time is GMT (UTC) - 3
Argentina reinstated the use of daylight saving time in 2007, however, the Federal Government has made a decision not to observe daylight saving time when it was
scheduled to begin on October 18, 2009. This was due primarily to numerous provinces opposing the use of daylight saving time.
The province of San Luis, which is an exception, moved it clocks ahead
one hour for daylight saving time a week earlier than the rest of the nation on October 11, 2009. As San Luis is UTC -4 during standard time their observance of daylight saving time has put them on the same
time as the rest of the country which is UTC-3. It is not known if San Luis will remain on daylight saving time during 2009-2010.
Argentina is in South America. The capital of Argentina is Buenos Aires
